Fall craft???

Holy Cow! where did the summer go??? In a week it is fall already.I know that some of you keep looking back to see if I have a craft going on yet, but I am looking for a fun fall craft to do. I am thinking of a cute garland that I found that you could put on a shelf or mantle but i haven't quite decided yet. Next week is busy and I get to go to Swiss Days in Heber again, and I am SURE that I will find something so cute that I will have to make. So check back in a few weeks. I am so excited to decorate for fall and the seasons following i have a lot of picture ideas saved waiting to be made! :) So hopefully we will be able to get something made in September. And of course if any of you have any ideas please feel free to tell me....

April's Craft

I know it was only 2 weeks ago we did our other craft, but I just wanted to get this in before Easter so we could enjoy it longer than a week! So I promise it will be a month before the next one:) But I think this turned out pretty cute. I used the vinyl as a stencil and then painted where the letters are supposed to be and sanded it down a little.

The cost for this month's craft is $10
and I am going to do it on
Sat April 9 @ 10 a.m

If anybody wants one that can't make it that day, I need to be paid by the day we do the craft if at all possible, please.
So if you would like to do it, try to let me know by next Wed the 6th. Sorry it's such short notice, but like I said I promise by next month there will be more notice and it wont be every two weeks. :)

My Wreath

I just wanted to show everyone either that didn't come to the last craft day or the ones that were here how my wreath turned out. And I wanted to link you to the tutorial here for making the wreath if you were not able to come. For the board I just printed out some vinyl and took the letters out and painted where the letters go. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Cruise 2011

Here we are at the Long Beach Port

This is at Catalina Island. We came here on our honeymoon and we were only 20 and 22, so we weren't old enough to rent a golf cart, cuz you have to be 25 to drive, so we were very excited. Because there really isn't much to do on the Island besides rent these things and drive around.

Here we are at the flee market in La Bufadora Mexico. These people were CRAZY for your business. They would follow you down the road trying to get you to come buy something from them. They would do anything to make a sale. We made some pretty good deals!

This is a blow hole that we went and saw in Mexico. I believe that there are only three in the world like this one. The way that it works is there is a hot pocket along the shoreline. When the tide is up it covers the hot pocket and traps water and gases in the pocket that build pressure. When the tide goes down, it releases the pressure built up in the pocket and blows it out of the hole.

This was funny, I have never seen anywhere where they charge you to use the bathroom. I guess here in Mexico they don't have sewer systems like we do so they have to haul in water and haul it out so they have to charge for people to use the bathrooms. It's funny the things we take for granted.

We had lots of fun on our vacation. It was a little bit challenging with the kids and we probably will not take them again til they get a lot older. But they had fun, they have this thing on the boat called Camp Carnival and they had different age groups for different activities. The girls really loved it, some of the activities were coloring t-shirts, dressing up like pirates and princesses(as you can tell in the picture above of the girls), played video games, watched movies, played bingo a lot, there was lots for them to do. Every night when we went to pick them up Brooklyn had been asleep for a while. They were just having too much fun. Mason, the little terd on the last day we were on the boat, he ate 3 Dramamine pills while we weren't watching and scared us pretty bad. We called the medical place on the boat and they just told us to watch him really close and just give him lots of fluids. But it did not phase that kid one bit, he maybe had a 1 hour nap that whole day. On the other hand Jaren and I slept that whole day. Oh and on the drive down there my wonderful husband thought that he looked the suburban over so well before we left being the good mechanic and all, we had a breakdown in St. George and had to change out a CV axle in Chili's parking lot in the rain I might add. Ok I am really kidding about that it was Jaren's fault, cause it wasn't. Things like this just happen sometimes, I am just glad he is so smart that he was able to fix it right there along with a really nice employee at Autozone who stayed late so we could buy the part.

Family updates!

(Awesome cake decorated by my wonderful friends Carrie and Cassie)
Mason's 1st Birthday!

Loves the cake!!

Hates the Ice Cream Jaren gave him. I think he had a brain freeze.

I Love my Happy Boy!! And isn't he just so dang cute!

Well here are the pictures and story of Jaren's accident. I need to document it before I forget what happened.(which I dont think I will ever forget that night).
Well the night started out with me taking the kids to my moms, cuz they had been wanting to spend the night at Grandma's since before school started. My mom had to work that day and didn't get off until 7 that night. So I waited til about 5:30 to take the kids over. By the time I got there and got headed home it was 8:30 or so. And it crossed my mind whether I should stay at my moms or go home, because Jaren said he was going to be cutting grain til about 2 in the morning. I didn't say anything to anybody and just decided to go home. When I finally got back into the valley to where Jaren was cutting grain it was about 10:30 and Jaren was wanting me to ride with him on the combine. I really couldn't decide whether I should go home or go ride with him. I thought about it for a minute and decided to surprise Jaren and go ride with him because I really didn't want to go home to an empty bed and I also thought that the extra time with him with no kids was well over due. So I went and rode with him and it didn't take as long to finish as he thought. We got done about 11:30 he had a load in the trailer already so we were going to take a load down and unload and come back to get the rest of it. So I just left the suburban up there in the field along with everything else.(like my phone) So when we got there to unload I just sat in the truck and waited. Not once did I think about getting out. So I was just sitting there figiting with the radio and about 15 min or so after we got there Jaren came and opened the door standing there white as a ghost and with nothing on but the cuffs of his sleeves and his boots. I asked him what in the heck he was doing. My very first thought was that he went pee, but I didn't know why all his clothes were off. So when I asked him what he was doing he just gave a deer in the headlight look and said " I don't know." So he got in the truck sat there for a minute while I just held him and kept asking him what happened. Then the urgency of getting out of there came to me. I couldn't get out on my side because of the jumper cables from the gooseneck, so I made Jaren get back out so I could go see what I needed to do. When I got out I just kept telling Jaren that we needed to unhook the trailer so we could leave. And at this time everything was still going, the trailer was still hoisted up, the tractor was still running, the PTO was still spinning and whipping his clothes around. But it was really weird because Jaren had no clue what happened but yet he knew what to do to get things ready to go. He told me that instead of unhooking the trailer it would be easier to just finishing unloading the grain. So we did, he put the hoist down, went around and turned off the tractor, and unhooked the jumper cables from the truck all while he just had the coat that I was wearing wrapped around him to keep him from freezing. So he got back in the truck and I drove him into the hospital. The whole time we where driving from Liberty into town he asked me the same 3 questions over and over again. He asked "Where are my clothes, why am I naked?", he asked "What happened?", and he asked "Where are the girls?". I would answer all of his questions and as soon as I was done he would start all over again. I kept thinking about that movie "50 First Dates" and that guy that they call 2 second Tom. He would introduce himself and the 2 seconds later he would forget and start introducing himself again. Jaren was just more like 5 minutes in between forgetting what he asked. I really thought he had lost his mind and that hi memory was gone. When we got into the hospital, they laid him on one of the ER beds and put a neck brace on. He then started asking the same questions again but he also started asking "How did I get here?" and when I told him that I drove him, he would tell me how much he loved me and how amazing I was and how thankful he was that I was there. He did this for awhile until they took him in for the CT scan. Everything checked out really good. No head injuries. And then they took him into the X-ray room and did some x-rays on his whole body. They thought that his left arm was broke because he kept complaining about how bad it hurt, but there were no broken bones either. After he was all done they wanted to keep him over night just to make sure everything was going to be ok still. It wasn't until about 4 am that he started remembering stuff that I was telling him. But he would continue to ask a million questions and at one point I told him he was wearing me out asking all those questions. It really was bothering him that he couldn't remember why he got caught in the PTO, he racked his brain all day trying to remember, but he still can't to this day and everyone tells him it's probably a good thing. They let us leave the hospital at about 8:30 in the morning to come home.
This experience has been so amazing! We just can't believe how everything worked out that night. It's like we planned it to happen. We KNOW that Heavenly Father and his angels were with us that night. There is no dought in our minds that Jaren was watched over and that he has a purpose still on this earth. We will forever owe our lives to Him for sparing Jaren's life that morning of September 17, 2010.

Just for those of you who don't know about PTO's and how they run, this particular tractor was a 530, meaning it was spinning 530 revolutions per minute. Can you imagine what he looked like when that thing caught his clothes??

This is what we found when we went back out there to where he was.

And this is what is left of his clothes.

Alright here we go!!! Put your legs up and grab a drink

This is my newly finally done (for now anyway, haha) Laundry Room
After almost 5 yrs we just barely put in cupboards. Man they are handy.but it kinda looks like Christmas on the top, all well.
It is so nice to have all the clutter GONE!!! Jaren used to put all his papers and magazines on the dryer and I hated it. Now it looks like a Laundry room, not a cluttered mess.
And this would be our other cluttered mess in our house. This is the closet under the stairs. It's 1 out of the 2 storage closets. Do not ask me why in the heck we did not build more storage space.
And this would be where the insulation used to be. STUPID MICE!!!!!!! We had to tape all the holes up to keep the mice from getting in to it after we realized what those little terds were doing.
And this is the WONDERFUL finished project. The waiting time on my honey-to-do list is like 5 years. But any way it looks so nice with the sheetrock up as you can tell we didn't mud or tape or even paint, but it's just a storage room, right? But now I need to work on getting my food storage built up, now that I have a place to put it.

CAMPING AT MARSH LAKE....2010

My Aunt Susan had a wonderful idea to bring umbrellas that the kids could paint. They loved it.

All the kids with their umbrellas

This kid sucked on like 5 0r 6 watermelon rines. He was lovin' it. Such a cute kid

This is ALL of my immediate family. We have not all been camping together since I don't know 9 or 10 years. It was really fun, mainly to just get away and not have to worry about life for a few days.
Moose... It's kindof hard to see it's right in the middle of the picture. But it's always fun to see other animals besides dumb deer.

Mason LOVES water

Here we are playing in a really really cold spring.

4th of July......2010
Lighting fireworks at Jon And Shahna's house.

This year we splurged and went to Border and bought some of those um ILLEGAL fireworks. It was all Jon and Shahna's idea. Just kidding

I could not have caught this picture at a better point in time, his facial expression and the way is body is positioned it looks like the firework is going to blow up in his face, but it was just one of those little tractor ones that, well you can see what it was doing. So funny:)

I just love this little boy so much. He is always happy and smiling.

LAgoOn.........06.25.10

I think we went on this ride like 3 or 4 times. The girls loved it.

Babies are so sweet when they are SLEEPING...

HAHA you got wet:)

3 cute kids in a little red wagon.

This picture speaks for itself. Jaren hates things that go around in circles, it makes him so sick. But yet he was trying to get me to go on this crazy catapolt ride thing that shoots you in the air 100 feet. He's cRaZY!!

Eeww!:( That lady needs some sunshine

Born Natural. He knew exactly what needed to be done.

SoSoSo Cute!!!!

Free Fishing Day....06.12.2010

Liking it......

Not so liking it. She started crying when we pulled the fish up on shore.

It rained the whole time we were there. But the fishing was pretty good, we caught these 2 fish with a barbie and princess fishing pole, that we got that day.

"Ok...maybe I like fish now" Gracey not so much, she still wont touch them. But we told them that if we catch them we have to eat them and they did, and amazingly they didn't mind it. It must of been the good cook's cooking.

June 6, 2010
The day we thought our lives were going to end.
These next 2 pictures I don't think we will ever forget. It was our anniversary(7 loonnng years) it was on a Sunday we decided to go have a picnic out at the lake and then while we were there Jaren decided he wanted to go to this intermitten spring over in Afton, so we went. On our way to Afton we blew a tire in our Suburban in Geneva and my husband being a wonderful Mechanic he is, did not have a jack in the suburban so we had to go borrow one from a nearby house, but we do now. When we got there it was sunny, but first for some reason Jaren told me it was a small hike but I did not think to put on different shoes Me and Brooklyn were wearing sandals, So when we got there we asked some people how the trail was and they said it was alright just a little rocky and they told us that the spring was too high that it was not intermitting(which I am still not sure what exactly it was supposed to be doing) but we drove all the way there so we still walked up. The trail was a little tough in sandals. When we got up to it we kindof had to cross a stream to get to the bridge to get to the spring. Anyway there was a big glacier over it as you can see in the picture below. So we did our thing took a picture, girls had to go potty, and said well that was fun lets go. At that time I looked up at the sky and it was getting dark with clouds, didn't know it was supposed to rain or anything. All I brought was a blanket for Mason and that is all no jackets or anything else. So we kindof hurried back down the trail, and about half way down it started thundering and blowing really hard then we started to run(in sandals down a rocky trail) not easy. I was getting a little nervous or Jaren would say very upset. Then it started to hail and then it was just plain out pouring rain. I was screaming, and what ever I do Gracey does so she was yelling at Jaren for some reason) all we had was a little blanket for Mason, nothing for the girls so Jaren was holding Mason and Brooklyn like in the picture below, then I took Mason trying to hold the blanket over his face, but he didn't like that at all, and by the time we got to the Suburban he was holding both girls and we were all sprinting. It was funny when I put Mason in the car seat he held the blanket over his face like he was still horrified about what was going on, he held it over his face for a good couple of minutes. Then after we got in and started down the road about 200 feet it was clearing up and the sun was coming out. All that stupid screaming and yelling for 10 minutes of horror for it to be done and over that quick. Well we will probably never forget that day, EVER!
